About SolaraloS
SolaraloS is a company dedicated to the proliferation of renewable energy systems. Our goal is to educate our friends and neighbors about the affordability and advantages of solar power to enhance our American way of life and to "put a lid on" future energy costs. Solar energy offers a way for every family in San Luis Obispo County to participate in the nationwide effort to become less dependent on foreign sources of energy and to guard against consistently rising energy costs.
Jack Hanauer of Hanauer Construction, Inc. founded SolaraloS - pronounced solar-al-los (solar spelled frontwards and backwards) in 2007, a logical extension of his general contracting company, which has been doing business in the North County of San Luis Obispo since 1978. Over the last 30 years, Jack's attention to quality and customer satisfaction has given Hanauer Construction a reputation for honesty and integrity in the building community.
Jack's first solar water heating system was installed on a home he constructed for a family member back in 1979. During that time, the solar rebates disappeared as fast as they were created and the solar manufacturers could not provide affordable solar products. As a result, the cost of solar power was high and there was very little chance for the number of solar power homes and the solar industry to expand. After learning the lessons of the 70's, 80's, and 90's and with the recent technical advancements in solar power generation, the solar industry today is one of the fastest growing industries worldwide.
As more and more clients expressed interest in the benefits and advantages of solar power, Jack decided it was time to get directly involved with the installation of these systems. Jack figured that his attention to detail in building custom homes and remodels coupled with his reputation for producing a quality product would go hand in hand with the installation of PV and Solar Water Heating (SWH) systems. There have been major advancements in solar power and renewable energy technology that can meet the energy needs of nearly all Americans in an earth-friendly way. The state of California offers very attractive rebates, and combined with the substantial tax credits from the federal government and the availability of the products, the cost of solar power is becoming more affordable. Not only will the financial advantages of solar power benefit you for years to come, Mother Earth, our children, and grandchildren will benefit as well.
